FARMINGTON A man died late Thursday night after he ran across I-15 traffic and was hit by a car, authorities said.
The crash took place about 11:30 p.m. Thursday on northbound I-15 about a mile north of Glovers Lane in Farmington, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
A blue Camry and silver Nissan were both northbound on the freeway, UHP Lt. Nick Street said. The Nissan rear-ended the Camry, which spun into the HOV lane of the freeway. The Nissan pulled into the emergency shoulder on the right side of the road, Street said.
The Camry driver, a man in his 80s, got out of his car and ran across I-15 toward the Nissan, but was hit by a northbound Honda Crossover. The Camry driver suffered fatal injuries. He was not identified.
