ABS-CBN and Kapamilya artists continue to receive love from award-giving bodies after winning TV Station of the Year and other trophies at the VP Choice Awards 2020 held virtually last March 6.
ABS-CBN bested five other media companies for the award, which is given to the network that continues to provide “high-quality news and entertainment shows that remain on top of the viewers’ favorite lists.”
Kapamilya teleserye “Love Thy Woman” was also cited for capturing “the hearts of Filipino viewers with its relatable and timely plot and great acting ensemble” as TV Series of the Year, while its lead actor Xian Lim won TV Actor of the Year for his performance in the program.

The Modern Love podcast got a revamp in 2020, with two new hosts and a fresh sound produced entirely by The New York Times. And, of course, there were new stories to tell. Some were unique to the moment like a serendipitous romance that bloomed on a train ride from Paris to Barcelona, then was abruptly stunted by lockdown. For other stories, we dug into the archives to unearth some of our favorite essays and check back in with the authors.
Here are 10 episodes from the newest season, introduced to you by the people who made them. We hope they can be a balm, providing a sense of comfort and connection.

London will reportedly enter the third and highest tier of England’s coronavirus restrictions as of 00.01 GMT on Wednesday (December 16) amid a surge in cases of the virus.
London currently has the fifth-highest rate of infections in the country, with 506 per 100,000 people infected.
The imposition of the strongest possible restrictions on the capital means that audiences will no longer be allowed in any capacity at live events. These restrictions will also apply to parts of Essex and Hertfordshire.
