Image by Sue Swanborough A hand painted tile mural in Yate has received funds for its much needed repair and preservation. Yate Community Plan (YPC) a community led group of local volunteers and town councillors recently raised money to repair and provide a permanent cover to preserve the hand painted tile mural, attached to the public toilets in Yate Shopping Centre. Back in 2015, local school children were invited by Yate and Dodington in Bloom to design and paint tiles for a mural in celebration of its 50thAnniversary, to represent how they saw Yate Shopping Centre.
