All are, Uribe and Vettoretti explain, “an homage to our culture and our land [and] the abstraction and rawness of the visual language inherited by our ancestors.” The two founders note too that “Latin America is where we were born. Bertha González Nieves: Since I was young, I felt drawn to being an entrepreneur. At the start of my twenties, I applied for a place to represent Mexico on a cultural programme run by the Japanese government. Part of this a six month scholarship to travel the country and learn our economy and industries, so I could talk about them with authority.
