Manzoor Qadir is an environmental scientist with over 30 years’ experience in the fields of policy, institutional and biophysical aspects of water recycling and safe reuse, water quality and environmental health, water and food security, water and land management under climate change, and unconventional water resources. He holds a PhD from the University of Agriculture, Soil and Environmental Sciences, Faisalabad, Pakistan. Before joining UNU-INWEH, he held senior scientific positions at the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI); served as Visiting Professor at the Justus-Liebig University, Germany; and Associate Professor at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan, and managed various research projects in Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, with significant capacity development and knowledge sharing components.
