The Global Coalition for Security and Democracy (GCSDN) in Nigeria has asked French president, Emmanuel Macron, not to transfer the $150 million looted by the late Nigerian Head of State, Sani Abacha in cash to the President Bola Tinubu-led government. The Nigerian government had on Friday said France will return $150 million looted by former Nigerian military leader, late Abacha.
A group, Global Coalition for Security and Democracy in Nigeria has called on President Bola Tinubu to immediately suspend Bello Matawalle as the Minister of State for Defence. The organisation also urged the President to direct the anti-corruption body Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe the alleged misappropriation of Zamfara State resources by Matawalle, who is the immediate former governor of the state.
The Global Coalition for Security and Democracy in Nigeria (GCSDN) has asked the Nigerian electoral body, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to adopt electronic voting and transmission of results in subsequent elections. The group which made this call in a press statement signed by Comrade Prince Ewemade Konkonsons, GCSDN Public Relations Officer explained that shifting the electioneering process in Nigeria to online would save cost and end persistent electoral violence in the country.
