Without prejudice to Clause 2 of this Agreement, your duties include (but are not necessarily limited to) the following:
The Global Citizenship Manager’s primary role is to manage the successful implementation of GOAL’s Global Citizenship Strategy (GCS), under the guidance and leadership of the Director of External Affairs. The Global Citizenship Programme is a multi-annual, engagement programme, comprised of a) public engagement initiatives b) formal and non-formal development educational initiatives and c) advocacy initiatives that aim to strengthen stakeholders’ awareness of their role in creating a more sustainable and just world. The position holder will take the lead role in designing and developing programme activities in collaboration with the Director of External Affairs and then be responsible for ensuring that these activities are managed to successful outcomes.

Projects that prioritise the rights of women and girls in some of the world’s poorest nations are to be supported as part of a new approach to international development.
The updated policy includes a commitment to offering at least £500,000 for projects that promote equality of women and girls in the partner countries of Malawi, Zambia and Rwanda, and continued support to the Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls.
The review was prompted by the global impact of coronavirus (COVID-19), anti-racism movements such as Black Lives Matter, and the climate emergency.

A decade ago, this new global network of universities was launched to increase opportunities for its member institutions to share ideas, expertise and best practices.
To date, the Matariki Network has offered rich opportunities for student and staff mobility, resulting in international student collaboration and over 2,000 co-publications in diverse fields.
