Police are responding to an active shooter situation in the 2700 block of Oliver in Royal Oak, where shots were fired from the house, according to a news release.
Police say residents in the immediate vicinity of Oliver and Glenwood Roads, and Galpin and Glenview Avenues should shelter in place, lock doors, stay away from windows and take cover in basements if possible.
The scene is under control, police say, and they will notify residents when it is safe.
