January 07, 2021 - 2:01 PM West Kelowna RCMP are investigating after a 12-year-old girl was followed by a stranger in a van this week. This is the second incident of this nature reported to the RCMP in the Central Okanagan in recent days, the first student was approached by a man in a black van while walking home from a Rutland elementary school, Jan 4. On Jan. 5, at approximately 3:40 p.m., a 12-year-old girl was walking home from Glenrosa Middle School on Country Pines Way in West Kelowna when she noticed a vehicle which was travelling behind her at a slow pace. The girl became concerned and ran home, according to the RCMP in a media release.
