A fugitive accused of armed robbery and assault who authorities were searching for for months was apprehended by Massachusetts State Police on Thursday with a so-called “ghost gun,” officials said.
The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Marino Pimental, was wanted on warrants for armed robbery, assaults with a dangerous weapon, firearm offenses and making threats for crimes allegedly committed in Methuen, according to a statement from state police.
State police troopers from the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS) and detective unit for Essex County started searching for the suspect last summer, checking numerous address and interviewing multiple sources of information. However, the fugitive wasn’t found, the statement said.
Marino Pimental, 20, who was wanted for armed robbery and other criminal offenses was found Thursday at a Lawrence home, where police also confiscated a “ghost gun,” State Police said.
