A Glenn Howells Architects-masterplanned cluster of towers close to Canary Wharf has been given the green light.
Tower Hamlets council voted unanimously on Wednesday to approve the huge scheme at Blackwall Way, which will provide 900 homes, a primary school, community hub and nearly 2,000sq m of commercial space.
The site will include a pair of 33- and 38-storey towers
The scheme for Hadley property Group, which includes 35% affordable housing, will also see a grade II-listed dock restored and transformed into an outdoor “wild swimming” pool.
Three architects have designed different parts of the 2ha development, which will include a total of six blocks.
