San Francisco - Microsoft unveiled Sunday a batch of new titles for Xbox at the world s premier video game trade show, including award-winning sensation Hades and long-time hit Halo .
The Xbox maker showed off 30 new games coming to its console, which in November will celebrate two decades on the market. Our team strives to make Xbox a place where you ll find the greatest games, the most dedicated developers, and the most passionate community, unit chief Phil Spencer said during a streamed event on the second day of a virtual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).

Facebook unveils big audio push

San Francisco - Facebook on Monday said it is adding podcasts and live audio rooms in a push to get people talking and take on the fast-growing audio-based app Clubhouse. We think a lot of magic happens at the intersection of audio formats, as well as at the confluence of text, audio and video, Facebook app chief Fidji Simo said in a blog post.
Facebookâs plan to weave audio offerings into the social network comes as it works to prevent losing users to Clubhouse.
Facebook has seen a steady rise in users opting for voice, from audio calls at the social network to leaving spoken messages using WhatsApp of Messenger.
Hades maker rise to the top as it takes on gaming goliaths

San Francisco - No work email after 5:00 pm on Fridays, mandatory vacations: the outfit behind role-playing video game sensation Hades doesn t believe you have to go through hell to reach the top.
Yet the tiny, independent Supergiant s own-way approach seems to be working as it gains on the goliaths of the multi-billion dollar gaming industry. Hades snagged five honors this year at Britain s prestigious BAFTA Games Awards and is short-listed for a major Hugo science fiction prize. If what makes our games special is the particular people who work on them and how they work together, then the whole studio culture needs to be about supporting that over the long term, Supergiant co-founder Amir Rao told AFP.
