There are too many. Throughout town there are two thousand two hundred forty four lane miles of road. Plowing that much pavement would require about fifty plows working around the clock. The city of reno. Only has 19 plows. So. Instead of cleaning the snow off of every road. Crews just focus on arterials. And collector roads. In other words. Roads that have a lot of traffic. The main priority is for emergency purposes, for transportation purposes, for rtc. We clear the arterials first and we work into the collectors then we finally work into the residentials. To give you an example. Priority one streets are virginia. 4th street. Sierra. Arlington. Etc. Priority two streets w

San Francisco Puc says the sewage system here is old, and the area, historically, has been vulnerable to floods. They say theyre looking plans. The city has given up lip service. Oh, well look into it. Now, the federal Environmental Protection agency launched an investigation. The epa wrote to neighbors, its shares your concern and were working with the San Francisco bay Regional Water Quality Control board to evaluate concerns you have raised. The agency said in a statement to abc7 news, in part, epa will seek Additional Information from the Public Utilities commission in the next few weeks. Were expecting a storm tomorrow. We are live right now in the kpix5 news room where we have just experienced a 6. 1 earthquake. Now this was centered near American Canyon in the north bay. It was on the west napa fault and i just heard that we experienced a 5. 2 on that same quake back in the year 2000 so it has been 14 years since we have heard much from that fault. You can see there on your map exactly where the epicenter was, four miles northwest of American Canyon. It was also within a mile of the Napa County Airport and we have got crews right now surveying the damage and in Solano County west 80 connector to west 37 is right now closed. West 37 closed from west 80 to state route 29, sonoma boulevard due to possible earthquake damage, so expect delays if you are out on the road. They do not know when they are going to be able to reopen that again
