Video from the scene showed a car with front-end and side damage and a portion of what appears to be a telephone pole is lying in a home s front yard.

Decorative brickwork adorning that home s driveway was also damaged.
Clothes and a shoe were spotted in the street alongside evidence markers that police frequently use to mark the discovery of shell casings.

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. Captain Don Lambert was remembered Friday as a man dedicated to his family, his church and to the Henrico community he served for nearly 34 years.
The veteran Henrico Police officer was killed by a hit-and-run driver while out for a run in Glen Allen Saturday morning.
Friday s celebration was held at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, where Lambert was a long-time member. It was a celebration filled with music and kind words from colleagues and his two sons.
Driver arrested in hit-and-run crash that killed off-duty Henrico officer
Police have arrested a Chesterfield man they say is the hit-and-run driver that killed an off-duty veteran Henrico Police officer walking in Glen Allen Saturday morning. Officials with Henrico Police said 30-year-old Justin Regensburg was taken into custody in King William County around 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Regensburg was charged with felony hit-and-run of an occupied vehicle and felony hit-and-run of a pedestrian. He is being held without bond at the Henrico County jail, officials said.

GLEN ALLEN, Va. The veteran Henrico Police killed by a hit-and-run driver in Glen Allen Saturday morning is being remembered as a gifted musician and selfless leader who served the department for nearly 34 years.
The absence of a violin during Sundayâs service at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Glen Allen was a painful reminder of the loss of Henrico Police Capt. Donald L. Lambert Jr.
