Man banned from owning horses for five years after causing unnecessary suffering A man has been banned from keeping horses for five years after being found guilty of causing unnecessary suffering to equines. Nicholas Green, 61, of Glebe Close in Chalfont St Peter was accused of causing unnecessary suffering to two horses named Elsa and Summer and of failing to ensure another horse named Guard was looked after. Court papers say he failed to explore and address the causes of Elsa, Summer and Guard s poor condition. Mr Green pleaded not guilty to the charges on September 16 last year, but he was found guilty in a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court in November.
