A former youth and community centre is set to be given a new lease on life with locals hoping it would stamp out anti-social behaviour in the region.
Celebrate Glasshouse Country has taken on the Beerwah and District Youth and Community Centre building with plans to turn the building into a community hub.
It comes after a local mum called for urgent safety upgrades and increased security at the skate park next door, after a gang of youths terrified local kids.
Celebrate Glasshouse Country president Judy Tomlinson said the hub could provide safety and security for youngsters.
