Highlighting the various new initiatives through which the International Publishers Association (IPA) is trying to sustainably level up global publishing and empower its stakeholders as they rebuild in the post-pandemic era, Bodour Al Qasimi, IPA President, has engaged in key discussions with industry professionals representing diverse markets during the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF) 2022.
His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, stated during his speech at the “The Arabic Language in the African Continent” symposium , held at Dr Sultan Al Qasimi Centre, that the continent of Africa contains a great culture and heritage, including the Arabic language and Islamic culture and an ocean of arts and historical manuscripts.
The UAE flag fluttered high in the historic Italian city of Bologna where Sharjah is being celebrated as Guest of Honour at the 59th Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF), which runs until March 24. Over the course of four days, the north Italian city is showcasing the unique cultural vision of Sharjah to a diverse global audience and celebrating the intellectual and cultural legacy of the Emirati and Arab worlds.
In celebration of Sharjah’s prestigious Guest of Honour title at the 59th Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF), the emirate hosted a galaxy of international authors, publishers, and representatives of Italy’s cultural institutions at a celebratory dinner at Palazzo Re Enzo, a historic 13th century building in the city of Bologna, Italy.
