GLADSTONE, Mich. Thomas I. Davis, age 93, of Gladstone, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at LakeView Assisted Living in Gladstone after a life-long career in banking and finance.
Tom was born December 13, 1927 in Gladstone, the son of Shirley and Katherine (Mackin) Davis, one of the earliest families of Gladstone. His father moved to Gladstone from Trenary, MI, in the early 1910’s, building the family home in the 1200 block of Delta Avenue. His mother’s parents moved to Gladstone from Masonville, Mich., in 1888, building a house in the 900 block of Michigan Avenue. Tom was raised in Gladstone and was a 1945 graduate of Gladstone High School. Upon graduating from high school, Tom joined the Army Air Corps at Selfridge Field, Michigan, serving with the 2nd Combat Airdrome Group in the Airfield Crash Fire Department. ESCANABA Randy Joseph Godlewski, age 58, of Escanaba, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 8, 2020. He was born on October 9, 1962 in Marinette, Wis., the son of Chester “Chet” and Donna (Pepin) Godlewski. Randy was raised in Cornell and attended school in Escanaba where he played football and hockey throughout his four years in high school. He was a member of the 1980 graduating class of Escanaba High School. Following graduation, he attended Bay College for engineering and received his associate’s degree. He then moved to Florida to work for his father’s contracting company. On August 9, 1986, he married the former Laurie Lindberg at Central United Methodist Church in Escanaba and together raised two daughters, Holly and Katlyn. In 1988, they moved back to their hometown of Escanaba. Randy began his electrical contracting career at Rapid Electric where he was employed for about 20 years before purchasing Kobas Electric in Escanaba in 2008. He owned and op
