(Abd Aziz) Pamekasan (ANTARA) - A flood accompanied by a whirlwind inundated residential areas and roads in Gladak Anyar village, Pamekasan district, Madura Island, East Java province on Thursday afternoon, following incessant and heavy rainfall. The flooding was triggered by heavy rain, said Budi Cahyono, coordinator of the Quick Reaction Team (TRC) of the Pamekasan Disaster Mitigation Office (BPBD), during a visit to the flood-affected area. The BPBD, in cooperation with the local military office, deployed personnel to assist flood victims and monitor further developments, he informed.
