The Socialist Workers League (SWL) has condemned the arrest of student leaders/activists, Femi Adeyeye, Phillips Olatinwo, Giwa Temitope and Ayodele Aduwo, by the personnel of the Lagos State Police Command of the Nigeria Police Force on Wednesday for protesting against the astronomical increase in tuition fees by the management of University of Lagos (UNILAG).

The Students Representative Council of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Osun State, has expressed its displeasure over the arrest of Femi Adeyeye, Giwa Temitope, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) PRO and others during a protest against fees hike by the University of Lagos (UNILAG). SaharaReporters earlier reported that personnel of the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police Force shot at the UNILAG students and members of the National Association of Nigerian Students protesting against fees increment by the school authorities.
