they ll always be my best friends, but i feel like i don t even know any of them anymore. i think a lot of people can relate to steve story. finally. veronica writes, i had a friendship tribe of five people. me and five men. we would get together at my house pretty much every weekend to watch our sports and have a good time for a solid two or three years. most of us have been friends for longer but the core group got together consistently for 2 to 3 years. it makes sense that i believe the matriarch being the only woman, but it became clear to me that they relied on me to make all decisions and plans of anytime we got together. when i decided to tell them all i did want to play the role of mom to grown men, nobody picked up the slack or took the reins. no initiative to get together if i wasn t doing it. so sense i m not making plans it s starting the conversations in the group chat, nobody is even interacting. my word of advice is to respect yourself enough to realize one of friendship
