+ May 06, 2021 THE 7th Edition of the Bakunawa Cinema of the Young-Bakunawa Film Festival opened Thursday, May 6, 2021, with three opening films at 7 p.m. via Bakunawa’sVimeo Channel.
Opening films include two from the Philippines Sa Punta Sang Balangaw by young Negrense filmmaker Justine Ogapong and Ang Lalaking May Regla saGitna ng Dagat by filmmaker James Allen Fajardo with See You Next Century by one of Malaysia’s acclaimed and award winning directors, James Lee.
This year’s Bakunawa Film Festival is anchored on the tagline “The Age of Uncertainty is the Time to be Unorthodox,” which is apt for the selection of films that are brave, unconventional and not the usual offerings of other festivals.

The Civil Service Commission has presented the Dangal ng Bayan Award (regional level) to two employees of the Commission on Audit for “extraordinary act of public service under Republic Act 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employes.

Eyren Yulde of Cluster 3, Corporate Government Sector and Benito R. Ong of the Information Technology Office Systems and Technical Services Sector received their award during virtual ceremonies held at the COA Commission Proper Board room.
The two outstanding COA employes have been automatically included in the shortlist of nominees for the Dangal ng Bayan Award in the National Level.
