The Crusaders played their best game of the year and used an 18-0 run to start the 4
th quarter to pick up their 5
th win of the season. The run to start the 4
th quarter answered a spurt at the end of the 3
rd that had Grand View Christian up by 5. The Thunder scored the final 6 points of the 3
rd quarter on back to back 3’s to rally after Coon Rapids Bayard led by 6 at half. Brynn Bass was huge in the 1
st half with 3-3’s and 14 points. She helped spark the 4
th quarter rally after Miranda Garcia blocked a 3 point shot and Alaya Betts rebounded and kicked it ahead to Bass who spun between a pair of defenders for the layup. Bass then blocked a 3 point attempt and Miranda Garcia pulled down the rebound which led to a 3 from Mia Leighty who hit back to back 3’s. Garcia was huge on defense, taking a pair of charges.

nd in a row. Catherine Mayhall exploded for 31 points hitting 5 three points and was deadly with runners in the lane. Kyndal Hilgenberg came up big with 13 points as the Knights played without second leading scorer Brooklyn Gifford.
Red Oak built an early 8-2 and 12-6 lead before Catherine Mayhall hit back to back 3’s to close out the 1
st quarter tying the game at 12. The Knights grabbed their first lead early in the 2
nd quarter only to see Red Oak answer and go up 16-14. The Tigers extended the lead to 26-19 before Mayhall and Kyndal Hilgenberg put them up for good. Mayhall drained a 3 to put them up 31-29 and them Hilgenberg knocked down a wing 3 to make it 34-29 and Kuemper would never trail again. Chloe DeVries wasn’t going to let Red Oak go down easy as she hit a pair of 3’s and the Tigers tied the game at 37 at the end of the 3
Kuemper fought hard against the Class 1A 7
th ranked Spartans and showed there is no quit in this group of young ladies. The Knights trailed 11-4 midway through the 1
st quarter but answered that with a 12-0 run to go up 16-11. The Spartans responded and tied the game at 16 at the end of the 1
st quarter. After a Kuemper 3 to start the 2
nd quarter Exira-EHK took control with a 16-0 run to lead 32-19. The game was delayed for a while in the 2
nd quarter with the Spartans up 29-19 as an official had a medical situation. The Spartans led 40-26 at half and built it to 51-29 early in the 3

The Titans move to 7-0 on the season overall and are 2-0 in the Twin Lakes Conference after another quick start and a 4
th quarter spurt holds off SE Valley.
South Central Calhoun defense created some turnovers with the press early, allowing them to get several easy buckets as they built a 28-6 lead early in the 2
nd quarter. The Titans led 4-0 in the first minute of the game and only allowed a couple 3’s in the 1
