The work we do at Girlguiding helps and supports nearly 400,000 girls and young women across the UK. “Girlguiding opens up so many fantastic opportunities for girls to grow in confidence and become a powerful force for good in their communities. I would like to dedicate this award to all the girls I’ve had the pleasure of knowing over the past 30 years.” Catherine’s Guiding adventure began when she turned nine and joined First Monea Guides. She added: “I couldn’t wait to become a guide!”

Whilst welcoming the announcement of a Covid-19 support package, a Group of Outdoor Learning and Residential Centres in Northern Ireland who partner with the Education Authority (EA) to cater for more than 45000 children and young people annually have urged the Northern Ireland Assembly to fast-track the release of emergency COVID-19 funding – or run the risk of the sector being decimated.
