Hanamkonda: The administration of Kakatiya University in Warangal has suspended 81 girl students. Following reports of ragging, the varsity took disciplinary action against them. According to reports, several first year students from the zoology, economics, and commerce departments approached the administration as they were being harassed by their seniors.
Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Education Minister, said that the enrollment of female students from the Scheduled Caste in schools has witnessed a 50 per cent growth.

The enrolment growth rate for girls between 2014-15 and 2021-22 was 31%, and for girls belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), it stood at 50%.
