It’s been a while since Spurs fans have felt good after a Tottenham Hotspur match. Spurs, under new interim manager Ryan Mason, looked a little disjointed in the first half but came roaring back in the second 45, scoring two goals en route to a come from behind 2-1 win over Saints.
I can’t take credit for today’s theme it was an excellent suggestion from commentariat member Ossiemandias in the comments of a recent article that inspired this, and it’s topical!

That sucked. If I could do this entire article with nothing but emoji I probably would, but I can’t. Tottenham Hotspur phoned it in on Sunday, losing 2-0 to Leicester at home in a match that not only wasn’t fun to watch, it was actively agonizing. Leicester scored on a Jamie Vardy penalty kick after Serge Aurier barged over Wesley Fofana at the end of the first half, had another deflect unluckily off of Toby Alderweireld for an own goal, and had another goal called back for a marginal offside call.

Today’s player ratings do not have a theme. Why, you ask? Because these things take a lot more time than you probably realize, there’s the Liverpool match tomorrow, I’m having a busy week at the day job, and this website is free. Sue me.
5 stars:
4 stars:
Harry Kane (Community 3.5): Disappeared along with everyone else in the second half, but took his goal very well. That wasn’t easy and was as much his shot as Guaita’s mistake.
Toby Alderweireld (Community 3.5): Solid at the back again (5 tackles!), and it looks like he’s regained his previous form after a spell on the bench early in the season.
