Socialite Yaya Mavundla has opened herself up on Mzansi Magic’s new reality show.
The 2018 Socialite of The Year Feather Award winner is part of the cast of
Becoming.
The show – which debuted on Wednesday, 7 April – follows the lives of four transgender people.
Yaya and Gina Sokoyi, who died in December while the show was being filmed, as well as Ramazan Ngobese and Gugu Kumalo, will let Mzansi into their lives. Yaya told SunBuzz filming the show was hard for her.

Yaya Mavundla, Gugu Kumalo, Gina Sokoyi and Ramazan Ngobese are headlining groundbreaking reality TV show, Becoming, that shines the revolutionary spotlight on the transgender community.
Set to premiere on Mzansi Magic on April 7, the new show is produced by Basetsana Kumalo’s Connect TV that has helmed unscripted productions Our Perfect Wedding and Date My Family.
