Already guaranteed a share of the 4A-5 conference crown, Stuttgart hosted Little Rock Mills on Thursday for a conference doubleheader at Gina Bailey Field at the Reinsch Sports Complex. After not pitching in the Ladybirds’ previous four outings, Emma Banks got the start in the circle and picked up her 16th win of the season by going 2.0 innings, striking out all six batters she faced. Ashlyn Eason came on in relief and struck out the three batters she saw in her 1.0 inning. The duo combined to deliver a perfect game in three innings as none of Mills’ batters reached the basepaths.

The Stuttgart Lady Ricebirds grabbed control of the 5-4A conference race on Tuesday night with a varsity sweep of Lonoke. Both games were played at Stuttgart’s Gina Bailey Field, with the Ladybirds winning both with ease.
Game One: Stuttgart 14 Lonoke 0
A ten-run bottom of the first inning allowed the Ladybirds to make quick work of the Jackrabbits in game one. Stuttgart’s ten runs came mostly due to defensive miscues by Lonoke, as only one of Stuttgart’s ten runs was earned. For the game, Lonoke committed a total of six errors.
