Possession of a controlled substance was reported at 12:42 a.m. Monday in the vicinity of Ferndale Drive and Leader Drive.
Duty on striking highway fixture landscape was reported at 1:30 a.m. Monday in the vicinity of Chantz Drive and Teal Drive.
Discharge of a firearm in certain municipalities was reported at 1:56 a.m. Monday in the 1800 block of Mona Drive.
May 10, 1867: The East Tennessee Union Flag gave readers a weather prediction: âWe have had an abundance of rain in the last few days. If it is true that a certain amount of rain falls every year, we shall have an excessive drought during the coming summer, for the present year has surely received its compliment quickly.â
The East Tennessee Union Flag was a newspaper published in Jonesborough, which was spelled that way on the masthead. However, it was spelled as both Jonesboro and Jonesboroâ inside of the newspaper.

A Temple man turned himself in to Killeen police Wednesday after he admitted to shooting a man because he was allegedly âbeing jumped by three people.â
Lakeith Leeshawn Moore, 24, of Temple, was booked into the Bell County Jail Thursday on a charge of aggravated assault bodily injury with a deadly weapon.
On April 27, according to an arrest affidavit, Killeen police were dispatched to the 300 block of Gilmer Street in reference to a shooting and a gunshot victim.
Upon arrival, a woman at the scene told police, âshe and (Moore) got into a verbal argument outside the apartment complex when Moore stole her car keys and cell phone and started walking off,â according to police.
The individual was arrested and detained for further investigation, said KPD spokeswoman Ofelia Miramontez.
Around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, Killeen police officers went to the 300 block of North Gilmer Street in reference to a gunshot victim.
When police arrived, they saw a male with a gunshot wound, Miramontez said.
The male was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple in critical condition.
âThis investigation is active and there is no other information at this time,â Miramontez said.
