A DRIVE-IN cinema showcasing a locally-filmed version of the Nativity story has been hailed a success by organisers and visitors. As previously reported, A 10-metre screen was installed at Weymouth s Park and Ride to showcase a version of Nativity on a giant screen to allow people to enjoy the story from the comfort of their cars. The event, which was organised by volunteers from Weymouth and Portland, took place on December 15, 16 and 17. The site could hold up to 140 cars and there were 110 in attendance on the opening night. Each car was given a goody bag containing crafts, pens and paper for interactive activities which had been prepared more than 72 hours in advance to ensure they were not contaminated.
