BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Arkansas men’s head coach Chris Bucknam was selected SEC Indoor Coach of the Year, announced by the league office on Wednesday.
The Razorbacks, ranked No. 3 nationally, defended its SEC Indoor team title last weekend scoring 116 points to finish 23 points ahead of LSU (93), who is ranked No. 2.
This is the 10
th time Bucknam has been named SEC Indoor Coach of the Year and it is his 24
th conference honor overall. Bucknam, in his 13
th season at Arkansas, has also received the accolade nine times in cross country and five times during the outdoor season.
Scoring in all 14 events they entered among the 17 events contested at the indoor conference meet, 24 of the 27 Razorbacks competing produced team points.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas moved into the team lead during the second day of the SEC Indoor Championships by scoring 50 points Friday from three finals inside Randal Tyson Track Center.
The Razorbacks have scored 57 points overall and lead the field by 23 points through six of 17 finals. Following the Hogs are LSU (34), Ole Miss (25), Alabama (20), Auburn (18.5), Georgia (17), Tennessee (16), Texas A&M (16), and Florida (15).

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – As defending team champions, Arkansas hosts the 2021 SEC Indoor Championships this weekend inside the Randal Tyson Track Center where the Razorbacks face a field which includes four other programs nationally ranked among the top 10.
LSU, ranked No. 2, leads the SEC contingent in the national rankings. They are followed by No. 3 Arkansas, No. 8 Florida, No. 9 Georgia, and No. 10 Ole Miss. Four other conference schools ranked among the top 20 include No. 12 Tennessee, No. 15 Alabama, No. 16 Texas A&M, and No. 17 Kentucky.
“This championship, there is nothing like it,” stated Razorback men’s head coach Chris Bucknam. “The SEC Championships in track and field is phenomenal. A lot kids want to come here and experience it. It’s a real meaningful event for us.”
