Luis Aceves, 65, had pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter on April 27 for the death of Gilbert Aceves, 54, of Camarillo. He also admitted to the special allegation that he personally used a knife during the crime. The stabbing occurred on April 6, 2017, at the residence Aceves shared with his brother. The two were engaged in an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation, during which Aceves stabbed and killed his brother.
