Surrounded by friends, co-workers, church members and her family, Chancey Clark celebrated on Thursday something she wasn t sure would ever happen again - moving into her own home.
Clark is the fourth homeowner to move into Habitat for Humanity s Vermont Village in Shelby. The subdivision, located on Gidney Street, is home to a total of five houses built by Habitat for Humanity.
Her home is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom house for herself and two of her children.
A nonprofit organization, Habitat for Humanity provides no-interest loans to people who would otherwise be unable to afford a new home and builds homes with the help of volunteers.
