Westar Resources identifies six high priority base metal conductors at Gidgee North
“Whilst we continue to be a gold-focused explorer, the SkyTEM data has revealed a compelling base metals opportunity to assess conductors in the region along with developing our gold targets, says MD. The Gidgee North Project is around 640 kilometres northeast of Perth and forms one of the two Sandstone Projects with Gidgee South.
Westar Resources Ltd (ASX:WSR) has identified six separate high priority conductors for base metals during geophysical studies at the Gidgee North Project in Western Australia.
The studies were conducted by Southern Geoscience Consultants (SGC) and PGN Geoscience (PGN) using SkyTEM data and as well as base metals, they have also indicated potential for gold.

Managing director Karl Jupp said: A busy and productive first quarter has seen Westar rapidly progress exploration across the portfolio with commencement of our maiden drilling campaign at Coolaloo and advanced preparations for RC drilling at high-priority targets at Gidgee South and Winjangoo.
“We’re well on track to complete over 25,000 metres of drilling on Westar projects in the first six months of listing,” he said.
