The Oberlin City Council approved an ordinance on April 3 that will allow the City of Oberlin to receive financial compensation from a 2022 national settlement in relation to the opioid epidemic. Several corporations from the settlement that were accused of irresponsible practices which furthered the crisis in the United States will be paying at.
It may not be fall, and there may not be a football game, but Liberty Ranch High School didnât let that stop the 2020-21 school year homecoming celebration from happening. Bringing a semblance of normalcy, school leadership planned a semi-traditional homecoming, complete with flashy facemasks, movie night, royalty showcase and a week of spirit days.
The theme this year was Soaring Through the Decades. Each day last week was designated a sub theme, where students attending classes in person could be seen sporting their school spirit by wearing band T-shirts for Decade of Music Day.
For A Day in Your Decade, freshmen dressed 2000 style, sophomores in 90s style, juniors in 80s style and seniors in 70s style.
