As a kid growing up in Freehold, N.J., Bruce Springsteen loved his local ice cream shop, Jersey Freeze.
Only he didn’t actually fancy the ice cream he just wanted the cones. Employees would give little Bruce a few broken cones to munch on as he rode through Monmouth County, in the back seat of his parents’ car with his two sisters.
