Gallman is coming off his best season in the NFL, setting career highs in rushing yards (682) and touchdowns (6) while filling in for Saquon Barkley, who missed most of the 2020 season with a torn ACL.

Pro Football Talk reports Gallman would face a crowded running backs room in San Francisco.

The Giants got a lot of attention in free agency both positive and negative for making multiple big-money splashes, but most of those moves made sense in a vacuum. That included re-signing Leonard Williams and aggressively pursuing Kenny Golladay, Adoree’ Jackson and Kyle Rudolph.
But one under-the-radar move that was a bit confusing came before any of those moves: Signing running back Devontae Booker shortly after free agency began. Last year, Booker played for the Raiders on the “veteran salary benefit” which amounted to about $1 million.

Giants general manager Dave Gettleman obviously doesn’t think he foolishly overpaid for cornerback Adoree’ Jackson even if some of his colleagues disagree.
NFL executives recently spoke to The Athletic’s Mike Sando, and ripped Gettleman for the Jackson contract $39 million over three years, with $25 million guaranteed at signing.

Based on the ground rules established by ESPN, “Kiper and McShay alternated each pick, with Kiper starting at No. 1 and taking the odd numbers and McShay taking the evens.”
