manage this big country or that politicians can t. but they can t. we need simple rules that everybody understands and then the politicians should butt out. when you imply that if only he did, this we could fix it. that s a disservice. are you telling me, stossel. are you sitting there with your yellow tie and much tash that the president of moustache that the president was wamped, v.a. chaotic and wounded warriors were not getting the treatment they should get five and a half years ago. he does absolutely up about cuss about it and you are okay with it is that what you are telling it. i expect it the entire government is mismanaged and out of control. wait a minute, is he the leader. he picks these people to run these agencies. and if he he had a good person they would do a good job this giant v.a. bureaucracy in the the washington post today surprised me with a wonderful story about the job corps how they keep
them through the reports. well, that s troubling. republican party put out an email today listing all the times the president learned of important events through the media. the associated press says mr. obama learned of the irs targeting conservative groups through news reports. jay carney himself said the president didn t know about fast and furious until he saw it in the media u.s.a. today reports mr. obama did not know the nsa was spying on german leader merkel until the story broke. and the president seemed to be caught by surprise about the obamacare web site problems. so there is a pattern here, is there not? seems the president of the united states and his advisors are the last to know about major problems. this v.a. thing is huge. we can t have w warriors dying from lack of medical care. my pal jon stewart put it this way. here s what discusses me, somehow, we as a country,
were able to shift 300,000 troops half way across the world in just a few months to fight a war that cost us $2 trillion. yet, for some reason, it takes longer than that to get someone hurt in that war needed medical care or reimbursement. all while we process undying love for their service. but mr. stuart makes a mistake. the problem is not we, it s with the obama administration which apparently did little to hold the v.a. accountable. so the question then becomes is the president even paying attention? surely he keeps incompetent administrators like kathleen sebelius and the present v.a. chief eric shinseki in their positions for far too long. surely he does that and surely the american people have not been given clear answers to things like benghazi, fast and furious and the irs deal. finally, all the polls show the same thing. there is an erosion of confidence in the federal
hoover or some other republican. you voted for him twice, okay? you, i m sure, when he was elected, thought he would do a good job. are you profound ely disappointed in him now? yes, yes, i am. i m extreme ely disappointed in him. i should say i voted for him once. i actually didn t vote in the last election. because i really was so underwhelmed when w. my options. i didn t feel like standing in line just to vote for somebody who was never going to become president since i voted in d.c. anyway. powers, powers, wait, wait, wait. you could have written in my name. come on. gosh, why didn t i think of that there would have been a lot of people in dc writing in bill o reilly i m sure. sure there would. i am extreme ely disappointed him in i hear this all the time frank ely. very excited. poll numbers obviously. this v.a. thing, i think he
messaging but they have no competence in terms of governing. that s the first part of it the second part is any time an issue arises they are more concerned about what they are going to say than what they are going to do. to them it s an opportunity to message as opposed to an opportunity to solve it. and here s the third problem. any time the criticism arises from republicans, their first reaction is not to look at it and say let s see there is some credibility here. their first reaction is to label it and treat it as some sort of a partisan attack. for example, i have been in the senate now three and a half years. a significant amount of my constituent case work, are complaints about the v.a. we have been hearing that and reporting that as of other offices for a while. and the initial reaction is always that s just partisan republicans trying to embarrass us. those three things i think really explain why these things keep happening. do you believe that the president is incapable of
