Protests have intensified in Greece days after the country s deadliest rail disaster, as thousands of students took to the streets in several cities and some protesters clashed with police in Athens.
The train from Athens to Thessaloniki was carrying 350 passengers. Many of them were students returning from raucous Carnival celebrations. The passenger train collided with an oncoming freight train before midnight on Tuesday.
