Hanoi (VNA)
– Nearly 4,300
Vietnamese and foreign runners will race up to 70km on trails
through orchards and tea fields in the
Vietnam Trail Marathon (VTM) in Moc Chau
district in the northern mountain province of
Son La on April 24 after a suspension
triggered by COVID-19.
The men’s 70km
race will see the participation of Quang Nguyen and two French runners of
Gaetan Morizur and Valentin Orange.
In the 70km
female battle, reigning champion Nguyen Thi Duong will be competing with Tra My
and Axelle de Feraudy of France, along with Ha Thi Hau.

Jordan on May 31 to prepare for the 2022
FIFA World Cup qualifiers in the
United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Member of the national
men’s football team will leave for the UAE on May 26 and test for COVID-19 two
days earlier.
Before its departure,
the squad is set to convene a training session in Quy Nhon city of the south
central province of Binh Dinh in a bid to climatise with warmer weather
conditions.

for Vietnamese athletes by finishing third at the Asian Weightlifting
Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on April 19.
Southeast
Asian Games champion Duyen competed in the women s 59kg category with heavy
pressure after her teammates struggled.
Three-time
World Cup winner Thach Kim Tuan lifted 128kg in the men s 61kg snatch event but
he failed in all three attempts in the clean & jerk, meaning he did not
come close to a medal.
Meanwhile,
Vuong Thi Huyen could only place fifth in the women s 49kg with a
total lift of 177kg (78kg snatch and 99kg clean & jerk). The result was 6kg
