Speaking on the occasion, the ADC said that the purpose of creating the facility is to reduce the footfall of people at GMC Anantnag and ward off chances of virus exposure besides helping the hospital staff to focus on the treatment of Covid positives and timely testing of indoor patients.
He also informed that adequate staff has been deployed at the centre and appealed to people of Anantnag town and its peripheral areas to drop in and get tested hassle free in a secure environment.
Meanwhile, the move of the administration has been widely appreciated by the people of the town.
Anantnag: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, P. K. Pole today visited Anantnag and made on spot inspection of various medical and healthcare facilities associated with Covid management in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla, ADC, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, ADDC, Bashir Ahmad, SDM Bijbehara, CAO, CMO, Dy CMO, MS Trauma Hospital Bijbihara and other concerned officers were present during his visit.
Pole took a detailed stock of medical infrastructure and oxygen availability besides the augmentations being made for effective mitigation of the pandemic here.
At dedicated Covid Hospital (Trauma Hospital) Bijbehera, the Div Com inspected the newly commissioned 500 LPM oxygen plant and reviewed its functioning briefly. He directed the health officials to utilise the oxygen supply rationally while ensuring the health of the patients is not compromised.

While praising the officers for their commendable work during the first wave, the DC said the past experience will help mitigating the pandemic this time again. “The ultimate aim is to reduce the human contact which will in turn reduce chances of exposure and infection rate”, he emphasised.

Anantnag: The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Recruitment Board (JKSSRB) and District Administration Anantnag today conducted a joint training programme for Superintendents, Centre Coordinators and Invigilators deployed for the forthcoming Class-IV Examinations at Dak Bungalow Khanabal, here.
More than 29000 aspirants are are scheduled to appear in the exam at 23 different centres in the district on 27, 28 Feb, and 01 march 2021.
During the training session, the deployed staff was urged to follow all rules and regulations and ensure that the candidates do not face any issues. Do’s and Don’ts associated with the exam process were elaborated thoroughly and stress was laid upon transparent and fair conduct of the exams.
