Political Leaders Set to Start Review on US-Proposed Peace Plan
A 15-member committee of political leaders will be briefed on Saturday on the results of a review of the US-proposed peace plan for Afghanistan by various parties collected by the State Ministry for Peace Affairs, two members of the High Council for National Reconciliation said on Friday.
The political leaders are expected to meet Saturday as part of the leadership committee of the High Council for National Reconciliation. Further review will be done by the 15-member team that is led by former vice president Mohammad Younus Qanooni, the council members said.

Doha [Qatar], April 2, (ANI): Representatives from the UN, Turkey, Qatar and the US met the peace negotiating team of Afghanistan in Doha and discussed the agenda of the Istanbul conference on Afghan peace.
A member of the peace negotiating team representing Afghanistan in the talks with the Taliban said, The meeting was aimed to gather views on the agenda of the upcoming meeting in Turkey, as reported by Tolo news.
Meanwhile, sources close to the Taliban have said that the US continues to push for a three-month extension of the May 1 deadline for US forces to leave Afghanistan.
Discussions Held in Doha Over Istanbul Summit Agenda
Representatives from the UN, Turkey, Qatar and the US have met with the peace negotiating team of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Doha and discussions were held about the agenda of the upcoming conference on Afghan peace in Istanbul.

DOHA (Web Desk) – The US Special Representative for Afghanistan’s Reconciliation, Zalmay Khalilzad on Monday held important meetings with Taliban and Afghan leadership discussed peace process.
In his first meeting, Zalmay Khalilzad, and Qatar Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met with Taliban negotiators and their deputy leader Abdul Ghani Baradar in Doha.
This meeting follows Khalilzad s recent visits to Kabul and Pakistan. In Kabul, the US envoy shared a proposed draft for Afghan peace with Afghanistan’s political leaders.
