HOLYOKE Gateway City Arts, closed since July due to the COVID-19 pandemic, cannot go on and is for sale, its owners announced Friday.
Gateway City is a sprawling complex on Race Street with two performance spaces, galleries, workshops, offices and restaurants: Judd’s, The Bistro and Race Street Tacos. Its development over the past decade has been seen as a sign of rebirth in the city’s canal district.
“Really we would like to find someone who would like to run it as is,” Vitek Kruta, who owns Gateway City with Lori Divine, said Friday Kruta in a phone interview. “Whether it is another entertainment company or a group of people or a co-op of some sort.”
