Election petition: There’s no way NDC will have justice in court – NDC s Dr. Zubairu LISTEN 2 A Member of the Elections Committee of the opposition NDC, Dr. Ibrahim Zubairu, says he’s strongly convinced that justice will not be served the party in the ongoing 2020 Election petition hearing at the Supreme Court. According to the Lecturer at Accra Techincal University, the Court has not been fair to the legal team of the Petitioner(ex-President John Mahama) in the way it has refused all the requests filed by the legal team since the hearing commenced. “No matter what it is, there is no way that the NDC will get justice at the Supreme Court. I’m saying so because of what is going on at the court. We are all witnesses to the ongoing proceedings, the attitudes, the pronouncements are a clear indication that the NDC no matter the evidence it brings will not get justice. NDC protests may get out of control – Asiedu Nketia The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia says the spontaneous manner of the massive street protests by the party supporters is likely to intensify and may get out of control. There have been widespread protests by NDC supporters in different parts of the country, burning tyres and mounting roadblocks and calling for an audit of the 2020 Presidential election that declared President Akufo-Addo winner. Last week’s protest at the Electoral Commission headquarters in Accra saw some 26 supporters arrested and have been granted GHC10,000 bail each by a court.

According to him, it is sad and unfortunate that some of the party’s best, knowledgeable, and experienced Legislators are not returning to the House. At least 28 incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) legislators have lost their parliamentary seats in Monday’s elections. Speaking in an interview with Host Bonohene Baffour Awuah on Ghana Kasa on Kasapa 102.5FM Thursday, Hon. Osei-Kyei Mensah-Bonsu stated that one area that the NPP has lost heavily which he finds worrying is on the Finance Committee of Parliament.
