Sheriff deputy fired, gets job in Newton Falls | News, Sports, Jobs

news@tribtoday.com A longtime Trumbull County Sheriff deputy has been fired, but has found another police job in Newton Falls. County officials confirmed the termination Thursday of Deputy Dallas Young, who became a deputy in 2007. Young was hired as a corrections officer at the jail in 1997. A public records request has been made to the county human resources department for Young’s personnel records to find out the reason for his dismissal. Newton Falls Village Manager David Lynch said Friday that Young was hired as a part-time officer for the village’s department, effective immediately. Lynch said Young lives in the community and is familiar with the village. He said part-time officers make between $22 and $23 per hour.
