Hiatus Kaiyote Drop Serene New Song Red Room Track will appear on Australian outfit s upcoming album, Mood Valiant Jon Blistein, provided by FacebookTwitterEmail Mood Valiant, out June 25th via Brainfeeder Records/Ninja Tune. The tune toes the line between slinky and woozy lo-fi soul, with tight bass and drums, winding guitar, and languid piano flowing beneath Naomi “Nai Palm” Saalfield’s vocals. The track also arrives with a music video, directed by Tré Koch, that finds Hiatus Kaiyote in a room that increasingly and fittingly turns red, including an old car with “Mood Valiant” scribbled all over it, which pops from white to red in the final moments of the clip.

Hiatus Kaiyote Preview New Album With Get Sun Australian group s third LP Mood Valiant arrives in June Althea Legaspi, provided by FacebookTwitterEmail Mood Valiant. The LP arrives on June 25th via Brainfeeder Records/Ninja Tune. “Surface it will suffice/The clay grows dry/But you keep your borders guarded,” frontwoman Naomi “Nai Palm” Saalfield sings on the opening verse. “And the heights of which you own/Feed me rhinestones/Bowing into the void.” More from Rolling Stone Mood Valiant is the band’s first album in six years following 2015’s Choose Your Weapon, the band began working on their third record while on tour. They had completed most of the backing tracks by 2018, but then Nai Palm was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent treatment and recovery.
