Nearly 70% of Asian Americans in NYC have had a first COVID vaccine dose, compared to less than 50% of white and black New York adults
Only 44% of people in NYC have had at least a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 55% of adults 18 and over there have had one or more shots
But 68% of Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander adults in the city have had first shot, compared to 49% of white New Yorkers and 30% of black New Yorkers
Experts say Asian American cultures are more concerned with protecting their elders and community members, making them automatically more willing and eager to get vaccinated

The New York Farm Bureau has released its 2021 state legislative priorities that address the needs and challenges of the state’s agricultural community in New York, especially following a difficult year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pandemic still weighs heavily on all New Yorkers. The farming community came together in many ways to mitigate the spread of the virus, protect employees, adapt to major market disruptions and to keep food moving to all parts of the state. To remain vigilant, the New York Farm Bureau has made rural access to the COVID-19 vaccine a top priority. POTSDAM St. Lawrence Health System (SLHS) has received an initial shipment of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines, and expects the second half of the doses to arrive in approximately 20 days.
This vaccine is administered as a two-dose series, three weeks apart.
The System will be vaccinating its clinical staff members at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Gouverneur Hospital, Massena Hospital, and other neighboring hospital facilities in accordance with governmental guidelines.
