Can We Cool the Planet?
8.40pm, PBS America
The climate crisis is perhaps the biggest challenge we face as humans and with the Earth’s temperature having risen by 1C over the past century, this sobering documentary enlists scientists and sceptics to analyse what active measures could be taken to rapidly reduce our global heating. Their potential solutions range from the quotidian – planting vast numbers of trees – to the futuristic: geoengineering the atmosphere to reflect sunlight.
