Officially, according to the U.S. Constitution and federal law, the presidential election is noon Monday.
Ohio s 18 presidential electors, of whom two are from Stark County, are scheduled then to convene in the Ohio Senate chambers in Columbus.
It s no mystery whom they ll vote for president: Donald Trump.
On Election Day on Nov. 3 and in early voting, Ohioans didn t technically vote directly for a presidential candidate. They voted for a slate of 18 presidential electors chosen by the state political party of the presidential candidate. Trump s slate of electors defeated the slate of electors for Democrat Joe Biden by about eight percentage points or about 475,000 votes in Ohio.
