It s that time of year that the Christmas Spirit means something a little different for everyone.
And during this unprecedented time of COVID-19, we all have our own feelings and experiences that come with it. But to be clear, for all past and present volunteers at the Shepherd s Pantry located in Acushnet, the continued work of handing out non-perishable food to the less fortunate has continued unabated throughout this crisis.
We are not the biggest or the busiest pantry, but you all do your part, in the community, to serve the needy individuals who come looking for help.
We are a safety net that they ve come to rely on. Without donations from kind and concerned people, and without our dedicated volunteers, and without the Long Plain United Methodist Church who allows us to continue our work, a lot of individuals would not get much needed food.
